Description

Wonderful Approx 17hand 9year old fully registered Irish Draught gelding. Who is very true to type stamp. Same home since a 4yo, sad sale on behalf of owner due to personal circumstances. Barney really has done it all. Hunted with very petit wife and also by husband. Has successfully competed in ODE’s and combined training so a very versatile horse. Rides nice and lightly in the contact, nice and established and holds himself nicely for a big horse, very balanced with a nice even canter.
He has also with more experienced rider jumped all the big hedges faced at him, so would also step up for a more ambitious rider, very brave and bold. Good with the hounds. Hacks out nicely alone or in company. He has been used to lead off, in a team of 3 leading 2 others. Brave and takes you to a fence, really loves his work. Loves his work, doesn’t get bored of whatever is asked of him. Stands very well at the meet when asked.
